Welcome to Healthy Foundations Group! We are an outpatient group practice dedicated to providing high-quality adult, child and adolescent psychiatry and therapy services with a superior care model at our Bethesda, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Westminster locations. Healthy Foundations Group meets our clients’ mental health needs by providing customized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s and family’s needs. We serve clients across the lifespan, ranging from children to geriatrics. You will be on a team composed of psychiatrists, therapists, nurse practitioners and administrative professionals.

What the Administrative Intern Does:

We are seeking a motivated and highly organized individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant Intern. As an Executive Assistant Intern, you will work closely with our executive team to provide administrative support and contribute to the efficient operation of our organization. This internship opportunity will allow you to gain valuable experience in a professional setting and develop essential skills that will prepare you for a successful career as an executive assistant or other administrative professional. The ideal candidate is someone who works independently, takes initiative, and is interested in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support: assist the executive team in day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  2. Communication Management: handle incoming calls, emails, and other forms of correspondence on behalf of the executives, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  3. Documentation and Reporting: prepare and review documents, presentations, and reports as requested by the executives, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  4. Meeting Coordination: schedule and coordinate meetings and events, including logistical arrangements, agenda preparation, and attendance tracking.
  5. Data Management: assist in maintaining and organizing databases, files, and records, ensuring easy accessibility and proper documentation.
  6. Project Support: collaborate with the executive team on various projects as needed.
  7. Office Management: provide general office support, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Professional Conduct: represent the executives and the organization in a professional manner, displaying confidentiality, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: currently pursuing a degree in business administration, management, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates in their junior or senior years of college or recent graduates.
  2. Strong Organizational Skills: demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
  3. Excellent Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  4. Tech-Savviness: proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software. Familiarity with online collaboration tools and calendar management systems is a plus.
  5. Discretion and Confidentiality: ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  6. Adaptability: willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities and tasks as required in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  7. Professionalism: a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner, both independently and as part of a team.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity with flexible hours and duration. The position will be based in Bethesda, Maryland with the possibility of remote work on a case-by-case basis. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment that encourages learning and growth.
